Technical details

Due to its unique design, the SmartFarm sensor requires very little maintenance. However, it is advisable to check the sensor from time to time and in case of abnormalities.

The spoon of the rain gauge should be checked for dirt. Remove any sand, dust or other dirt. Check the sun shields for cobwebs or other debris that may affect readings.

Due to its unique design, the SmartFarm sensor should be positioned within the crop. Choose a spot among the plants where the sensor will be easily visible while you work the field with your machinery.

Once you have identified a suitable location, use an auger or shovel to dig a hole 25 cm deep. Insert the sensor into the hole and firmly pack the soil around it to ensure stability. Attach the grey head with the rain gauge to the sensor by clicking and turning it; this activates the SmartFarm sensor

SmartFarm works on a crop-by-crop basis. So you enter the plot with the crop growing on it.

The minimum subscription term is 1 year and can be cancelled monthly thereafter.

One FieldMate can provide sufficient information on 1 crop in a homogeneous area of 3-5 km (without mountains, rivers or other factors that can change meteorological conditions).

The SmartFarm app can be downloaded on a smartphone and tablet. Download the app in the Google Play Store or in the Apple App Store.

The number of users is unlimited, you can invite employees, fellow growers and cultivation advisers in the app.

It is no problem to change the crop in the interim, just keep in mind that it will take several days to calculate a reliable disease prediction again.

Yes, you can! Because the FieldMate is modular, you can replace the battery. Contact our support team to order a new grey head with rain gauge.
