Always aware of the weather on your plot
Adapt to the weather and plan your cultivation activities better
The SmartFarm sensor differs from traditional weather stations by measuring in the field and even between crops. With this, the sensor collects the essential data that is important to keep your crop healthy.
If you're already using the SmartFarm platform but want to get even more accurate, the sensor is an ideal add-on to order. A sensor is also a reliable tool for plots in special locations or abnormal conditions. The sensor works seamlessly with the SmartFarm mobile app and web application.
The sensor is an add-on to the SmartFarm platform and can be ordered in conjunction with the various subscriptions.
You may also recognize the SmartFarm sensor by names such as FieldMate, WeatherXact, LEMKEN IQbleu or Weather Pole. These are all the same weather stations from dealers and partners of our brand. For support, please visit our knowledge center.
The SmartFarm sensor has as many as 7 sensors. The device measures temperature and relative humidity in the field and between the crop (crop climate) and soil temperature at 2 depths. With the rain gauge on top of the weather pole, the FieldMate contains 7 sensors.
With the data from all these sensors, we generate relevant information that is a valuable tool for making the daily decisions around taking care of your crop.
The minimum subscription term is 1 year and can be cancelled monthly thereafter.
SmartFarm supports more than 65 crops and 170 different diseases.
SmartFarm works on a crop-by-crop basis. So you enter the plot with the crop growing on it.
It is no problem to change the crop in the interim, just keep in mind that it will take several days to calculate a reliable disease prediction again.
There are no shipping costs within the EU.
The number of users is unlimited, you can invite employees, fellow growers and cultivation advisers in the app.
The username is the same as the e-mail address you used to register. If you forgot your password, you can create a new one by clicking ‘I forgot my password’ in the SmartFarm app.
The SmartFarm app can be downloaded on a smartphone and tablet. Download the app in the Google Play Store or in the Apple App Store.

One FieldMate can provide sufficient information on 1 crop in a homogeneous area of 3-5 km (without mountains, rivers or other factors that can change meteorological conditions).
Due to its unique design, the SmartFarm sensor should be positioned within the crop. Choose a spot among the plants where the sensor will be easily visible while you work the field with your machinery.
Once you have identified a suitable location, use an auger or shovel to dig a hole 25 cm deep. Insert the sensor into the hole and firmly pack the soil around it to ensure stability. Attach the grey head with the rain gauge to the sensor by clicking and turning it; this activates the SmartFarm sensor
Due to its unique design, the SmartFarm sensor requires very little maintenance. However, it is advisable to check the sensor from time to time and in case of abnormalities.
The spoon of the rain gauge should be checked for dirt. Remove any sand, dust or other dirt. Check the sun shields for cobwebs or other debris that may affect readings.
Yes, you can! Because the FieldMate is modular, you can replace the battery. Contact our support team to order a new grey head with rain gauge.
